Reason: “Screen overlay detected” error occurs when a floating app is used on your device and suddenly another app or floating agent that requires relatively similar access is on Set up the device. But what is a floating app? In short, each floating program is a unique program that runs in a dedicated window. Floating apps include apps like Facebook Messenger app chats that appear on top of other apps. File management programs, screen light filtering programs, or floating menu programs can also be included in this category, for example, we can name ES File Explorer, Clean Master, Lux, and Twilight.

Users around the world have reported experiencing the problem on Samsung, LG, and Motorola smartphones, which many other manufacturers seem to be affected by. We have also experienced this problem in the LG phone on Android.

Drupe is an example of a program that may cause errors.

Technical background: As a security measure, applications require permission to use certain parts of your phone (internal storage, camera, etc.). A page overlap can interfere with requesting permission, so you must disable this feature to resolve this interference.

How to fix the problem “Screen overlay detected” or “Screen overlay detected”?

Step 1: Find
programs that have a draw over the screening license. On phones that are not made by Samsung, do the following steps:

Method 1 :
Enter the Settings section of your Android device.
Select the magnifying glass icon in the upper right corner of the screen.
Type draw in this section to search.
Select the Draw over other apps option.

Method 2 :
Enter the Settings section of your Android device.
Go to the Apps section.
Click the three-dot icon at the top of the screen and select Configure apps.
In the Advanced section, select Draw over other apps.

Instead of doing the above steps, you can enter the Settings section, apps (Apps), and then Draw over other apps. The easiest way is to touch the displayed button that is OPEN SETTING and go directly to the overlay settings. But on Samsung Android devices, you have to go through the following steps:
Open the device Settings.
Select the Applications option.
Select the Application Manager option.
Click More.
Select the Apps that can appear on the top option.

Step 2 :
After completing the above steps, you will see a list of programs that are licensed to use hover buttons or other page covers. Now you need to identify the app that caused this cache in the list of available apps and temporarily disable the drawing over the apps or draw over the screening license. Here are some tips to help you identify the program that is causing the problem:

Do you see a floating or bubble app on your screen? If the answer is yes, that program is the main cause of the “Screen overlay detected” problem. Then disable the license of that program in the list above.
Have you installed a program that changes the colors on the screen or adjusts the brightness?
Clean Master has been reported to be problematic. If you see Clean Master in the list, disable it.
If there is no reason, disable access to all applications.

Step 3 :
You can now restart the program and grant permissions without the need for a “Display overlay detected” error.

For Samsung users: We also received a report showing that one-handed keyboard settings may be the main reason. You can disable it by going to Settings> Advanced features> One-handed operation.

Drupe can also be a victim of screen overlay error, but it is proven here.

Step 4Re-enable page overlap.

You must re-enable the overlay license to disable the program or programs that you had in step two. If you’ve disabled the overlay permissions for all apps, it might be worthwhile to re-enable permissions for only the apps you actually use.

Doing the above steps will fix your “Screen overlay detected” problem. The main step to identify and fix this annoying problem is to identify the application that is causing the problem.
