Business Services

Introduction:

Aa we all know that there are two types of services that we can render from our environment
  • Tangible:-which can be seen or touched
  • Intangible:-which cannot be seen or touched but can only be felt
By the above explanation, we can surely say that business services are intangible in nature. They cannot be produced in a production house nor there can be any type of stock or inventory. Services cannot be stocked or stored in warehouses or godowns. Hence it is proved that services are manufactured and consumed by the consumer at the time of its production simultaneously
The main motive of business service is to run the business successfully in the market. These services are perishable in nature or it can be said that they are intangible in nature and mostly heterogeneous Service can only be rendered when there is participation from both the parties i.e the consumer and the service provider
When any lawyer, doctor, or teacher gives it services to its clients, patients,s or students they do not transfer their possession to the service rendering person. The transfer of ownership does not take place

Definition:

“A very good definition is being provided by Philip Kotler i.e A service is an act of performance that one party can offer to another that is essentially intangible and does not result in the ownership of anything. Its production may or may not be tied to a physical production”
